Meet Mustard Made: The lockers everyone keeps asking me about
Share
If you've been following along on Instagram, you've probably clocked me going on about lockers a lot lately. This is because from 1 September, Livava Home is stocking Mustard Made and I am so excited for it!
If you don't know the brand, Mustard Made make the colourful powder-coated metal lockers you've almost definitely seen in someone's "get ready with me" video or hallway reno. That classic school-locker shape, reworked for grown-up homes. They're the kind of piece that does a proper job and is totally practical but so fun as well!
It's exactly the kind of "outgrown IKEA but not remortgaging for Anthropologie" find I started Livava Home for, so it felt like a natural fit.
The lockers
There's a size for pretty much every space:
The Shorty Bedside-table height, available with the door opening left or right depending on which side of the bed it's going. Doubles up brilliantly as a nightstand with a bit more secrecy than a drawer.
The Skinny Tall and narrow, a single door that works like a mini wardrobe. Great for a hallway or a box room where floor space is tight.
The Midi Sits right between the Shorty and the Twinny. The one I'd call the all-rounder if you only wanted one.
The Lowdown Low and long, two doors. Works as a media unit or a sideboard, and just as happily hides the kids' toys as it does the TV box and cables.
The Twinny The biggest of the range: two doors, four adjustable shelves and two hanging rails. This is the one if you want proper wardrobe storage.
The Standard The original silhouette, sized right in the middle. Your everyday, goes-anywhere locker.
The Glass Collection
This is the bit I'm most excited about. Same locker shapes, but with fluted glass doors instead of solid metal ones so you get storage that doubles as display. STUNNING!
The Kit The smallest of the glass pieces, lovely for a bedside or a bathroom shelf situation.
The Mixer Mid-size, ideal for glassware, books, or anything you'd actually like people to see.
The Collector The big one. A proper glass display cabinet as much as it is storage.
The colours
If you're the type to agonise over a colour choice (no judgement, I do too), there's also a £2 colour swatch tester so you can see the actual finish in your space before you commit.
Why I picked this brand
I'm fussy about what goes on the site, and lockers are a big-ticket, "will I regret this" kind of purchase. What sold me was how genuinely useful they are underneath the colour — proper hanging rails, adjustable shelves, and a shape that earns its keep in a hallway, kids' room, home office or bedroom.
The full range lands on the site from 1 September. I'll be styling a few of my favourites at home soon, so keep an eye on Instagram for some inspo.
