How to Apply Suteka's Home Decor Tattoos to upcycle your ceramics today!

Suteka’s home décor tattoos are a fantastic way to personalise and enhance your ceramic plates. Follow these step-by-step instructions to achieve a smooth, professional finish with a newly upcycled design created by you!

Materials Needed:

Suteka home décor tattoo sheet

Ceramic plate (clean and dry)

Scissors

Water bowl or sponge

Soft cloth or paper towel

Clear sealant (optional, for durability)

Step-by-Step Application Guide:

1. Prepare Your Plate

Ensure the ceramic plate is thoroughly clean and dry before application. Any dust, grease, or moisture can interfere with adhesion.

2. Peel off the transparent top layer & Cut Out the Design

Using scissors, carefully cut out the desired tattoo design from the sheet, leaving a small margin around the edges.

3. Dip in Water

Immerse the tattoo in water for 5 seconds. 

4. Wipe off excess water

Make sure the surface is free from bubbles and excess water

6. Smooth Out Bubbles

Using a soft cloth or paper towel, gently press down and smooth out any air bubbles or excess water to ensure a flawless finish.

7. Dry in the oven

Pop in a preheated oven at 215°F or 100°C degrees centigrade for 10 minutes. 

8. Peel off adhesive

Once cool, peel off the adhesive leaving just the design behind. 

9. One more blast in the oven

Heat at 300°F or 150°C for 30 minutes. Then allow to rest for 12 hours.

10. Display your new upcycled DIY ceramic home décor tattooed design  

Care Instructions:

• Avoid scrubbing or using harsh detergents on the tattooed area.

• Hand-washing is recommended over dishwasher use
